Today, CBS and the Golden Globes® announced that acclaimed Golden Globe, Grammy® and Emmy®-nominated comedian and actress Nikki Glaser is set return as host of the 83rd ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBES®, the first major award show of the season, airing January 2026 on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.*

“Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” said Glaser. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from ‘The White Lotus’ who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in Season Four as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”

“Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor, and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun,” said Helen Hoehne, President, Golden Globes.

On January 5, 2025, Glaser made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo. She received unanimous praise from audiences worldwide and rave reviews from critics hailing her memorable performance as “victorious.”  Named “Comedian of the Year” by the New York Times and known for her razor-sharp wit and humor, Glaser’s shockingly honest, no-holds barred style has solidified her as one of the funniest voices in comedy today.  Previously, Glaser headlined her first critically-acclaimed HBO comedy special “Good Clean Filth” in 2022, and earned a Writers Guild Award as well as Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award nominations for “Nikki Glaser: Someday You'll Die,” which set the record for both the best premiere night for an HBO comedy special in more than two years and for the #1 largest streaming audience for a Comedy Special in HBO Max/Max history. In 2021, Glaser launched “The Nikki Glaser Podcast” for iHeartMedia and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Podcast Network (BMP). She currently hosts and executive produces “Lovers and Liars,” the spinoff of the hit HBO Max and CW reality dating series “FBoy Island,” which Glaser hosted and executive produced for three seasons. Glaser recently wrapped her global THE GOOD GIRL stand-up tour and is currently on her ALIVE AND UNWELL tour across the U.S., Canada, and Australia through October 2025.

The Golden Globes, often referred to as “Hollywood’s Party of the Year®,” is the largest awards show in the world to celebrate the best of both film and television. NIKKI GLASER

For nearly two decades at sold-out tours, and as the host of three hit podcasts, Emmy®, Grammy® and Golden Globe®-nominated Nikki Glaser has honed her shockingly honest, no-holds barred style, solidifying herself as one of the funniest voices in comedy today.

On January 5, 2025, Glaser made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes® solo. She received unanimous praise from audiences worldwide and rave reviews from critics hailing her memorable performance as “victorious.”

2024 was a career redefining year for Glaser, culminating with being named “Comedian of the Year” by The New York Times.

Following the success of her Critics Choice Award-nominated HBO standup special, GOOD CLEAN FILTH in 2022, Glaser’s highly anticipated second HBO comedy special, SOMEDAY YOU’LL DIE premiered in May 2024 to a record-breaking audience. It set the record for both the best premiere night for an HBO comedy special in more than two years and for the #1 largest streaming audience for a Comedy Special in HBO Max/Max history. Glaser was nominated for an Emmy® Award for “Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded),” a Grammy® Award for “Best Comedy Album,” a Golden Globe® Award for "Best Performance in a Stand-Up Comedy on Television," a Critics Choice Award for “Best Comedy Special” and a WGA Award for “Comedy/Variety Special,” which she won. Glaser also wrote and performed “Someday You’ll Die” the special’s theme song that is available on all streaming platforms. The single was recorded in Glaser’s hometown of St. Louis with producers Dan Monahan and Tim Convy. Released by Bailey Blues in partnership with Redbird Records, the track shows a different side of Glaser, but fans of her comedy will recognize her trademark wit and authenticity throughout the lyrics.

Glaser was also the undeniable standout on Netflix’s Emmy®-nominated THE GREATEST ROAST OF ALL TIME: TOM BRADY which earned her viral attention and reinstated her title as “the best roaster on the planet” according to Indiewire. The roast aired live and unedited on Netflix from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on May 5, 2024.

Glaser can currently be seen on her ALIVE AND UNWELL tour across the US, Canada and Australia through October 2025, after wrapping her global THE GOOD GIRL tour in 2024.

In March 2021, Glaser launched THE NIKKI GLASER PODCAST for iHeartMedia and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Network, where she continues to provide a fun and brutally honest look into pop-culture and her personal life in weekly episodes.  THE NIKKI GLASER PODCAST was recently nominated for “Best Comedy” by the 2025 iHeart Podcast Awards.

Nikki hosts and executive produces LOVERS AND LIARS (formerly FGIRL ISLAND), which premiered on the CW on April 11, 2024. LOVERS AND LIARS is the female spinoff of the hit HBO Max reality dating series FBOY ISLAND, which Nikki hosted and executive produced for three seasons. The Washington Post hailed FBOY ISLAND as “deliciously twisty” and TIME called it a “compelling and clever masterpiece” with “smart execution” noting that, “An advisor to the women and a gentle antagonist to the FBoys, Glaser, a comedian, brings just the right level of self-aware humor.” Season one of FBOY ISLAND had the biggest premiere weekend for an HBO Max Original reality series since the platform’s launch.

Nikki took her love of reality TV to the next level by starring in, and executive producing, the E! half-hour reality sitcom WELCOME HOME NIKKI GLASER? Uprooted from her fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle, Nikki returns to her hometown of St. Louis where she embarks on a hilarious and often uncomfortable journey of self-discovery. Unfiltered, relatable, and unapologetically herself, Nikki navigates friends, family, and romance as a homegrown local celebrity.

Previously, Nikki flexed her over-sharing muscle as the host of Comedy Central’s first live daily morning show, YOU UP WITH NIKKI GLASER for SiriusXM, which ran from February 2018 to October 2020. Nikki’s most recent Netflix comedy special, BANGIN’, was released in October 2019. BANGIN’ was the most watched special on Netflix when it premiered. Nikki hosted, co-created and executive produced the critically acclaimed and daring comedic show, NOT SAFE WITH NIKKI GLASER, for Comedy Central and NIKKI & SARA LIVE for MTV.

Nikki was a standout on three Comedy Central Roasts, including those of Bruce Willis and Rob Lowe, which led to her guest-hosting JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! and hosting the inaugural edition of the 2021 MTV MOVIE & TV AWARDS: UNSCRIPTED, which earned her stellar reviews.  She also had memorable film and television roles in Judd Apatow’s TRAINWRECK, NBC’s AP BIO and INSIDE AMY SCHUMER, amongst others. In November 2022 Nikki was a triumph coming in third place on the ninth season of the hit FOX series THE MASKED SINGER.

Nikki has multiple stand-up specials and late-night tv appearances in which she jokes about her most humiliating moments as a woman in the modern world. Nikki’s past and current struggles with anorexia, depression, and anxiety are fair game in both her stand-up, and in-depth interviews with THE HOWARD STERN SHOW, WTF with MARC MARON, CONAN O ́BRIEN NEEDS A FRIEND and THE JOE ROGAN EXPERIENCE. She has become a complete open book on mic for the laughs and as the empowering voice for women that she yearned for as a confused adolescent.

The third and final day of the SHE Media Co-Lab at SXSW closed out with Chelsea Handler, who brought humor and unfiltered honesty to the stage. Handler shared a candid mix of personal stories and career reflections, focusing on themes of self-reliance, resilience, and empowerment. She discussed a transformative experience following a career-defining failure and how it shaped her path to success. Handler spoke about her decision to remain childless by choice, loving her body at 50, and the importance of embracing joy despite political turmoil.

The day also featured a powerful panel with Naomi Watts, who spoke about sex, intimacy, and relationship dynamics in midlife, and what led her to create menopause beauty and wellness brand, Stripes. Christy Turlington Burns shared her passion for reproductive rights and improving global maternal health through her organization, Every Mother Counts.

SHEMedia’s three-day activation at SXSW drew over 6,000 visitors, with linesforming outside the venue, highlighting the strong demand for criticalconversations on women’s health. The interest and engagement in these issues atSXSW, renowned for its focus on innovation and cultural impact, underscored thegrowing importance of advocacy for women’s health and marked a pivotal momentfor these discussions on a global stage.

Key Quotes from Chelsea Handler:

On being childless by choice: “People think that sinceI don't want children that I hate them. I don't hate children. …I have a lot of children in my life, and I actually have a lot of bandwidth for children because I don't have my own children. So, if I had my own children, I'd probably be a lot more centered on that, but I'm able to give out a lot, and I'm able to make contributions in a bigger way because of being freed up in that way.”

On self-reliance: “I have enough data to show me I'm the one who got me this far. ‘I've got you,’ like, that's what I say to myself all the time. ‘I've got you.’ And I think for me, it's always staying in touch with kind of the little girl. This is what my book opens with as a chapter to my older self as a younger girl, of the kind of woman that I wanted to become like, how did I see myself being in this world? I wanted to be strong. I wanted to be independent. I didn't want to rely on anyone for my money. I wanted to be someone who stood up for something. …And I wanted to show up for people, and so connecting in a helpful way to that essence of who you are as a child, who you are, before the world shits on you and you get your heart broken and you get disappointed. …It's your job to bring her along the way and make sure you don't forget who you are.”

On an early career disappointment at the Montreal ComedyFestival: “I bombed so badly at the Montreal Comedy Festival the first year I was there, I was like, 27 or 28 years old, I think, … and I ate it big time, and I thought my life was over. Zach Galifianakis walked me to my hotel room and said, ‘You should be alone now. No one can help you.’ Not in a mean way, just like I can't make you feel better. Just deal with this disaster.…Like that was my big break, and I sat in my hotel room and I cried. …I blew my opportunity, and then, literally, 72 hours later, I got another chance to do that set in front of the one executive that didn't see me take it in Montreal, and her name is Grace Wu, and she worked at NBC, and gave me a development deal for my own TV show. So, within 72 hours of me having the biggest disappointment of my professional career, at that time, I had the biggest high of my professional career, 72 hours later. And that is a story that I want everyone to remember. When something goes badly, there are rainbows coming your way always. …I think every failure gets you closer to success.”

On the pressure to conform and being true to oneself despite judgment: “Do you know how many people have told me to stop talking about drugs and alcohol publicly in my life professionally, people have been like, ‘Chelsea, can you simmer down? …No brands are going to want to do deals with you. I'm like, ‘There's a million other stories to tell. I'm an incredible skier. I look incredible. I'm successful. I have all these books. I have all these shows. What are you talking about? Tell another story.’ So, I switched agencies, and guess what? I have tons of brand deals. …So, we all need to broaden our thinking a lot around that area, and we are all too judgmental.”

On having her best body at 50: “I have the body I wanted when I was 20, and I’m 50. So everyone, you have something to look forward to. It all comes together in your 40s and 50s.”

On the new Trump presidency: “I went through a lot of darkness and pain and ugliness during the last time we had this President. I'm not doing that again. You don’t get to steal my joy, you don’t get to steal my happiness.”

Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified,The Immersive Rock Experience, an unprecedented 360-degree immersive experience opening March 12, 2025, at Illuminarium Las Vegas at AREA15. This first of its kind spectacle is a mind-blowing celebration the music, history, imagery and culture of rock ‘n’ roll, encompassing over 1,000 photographs, 200 videos, 1,300 Rolling Stone covers, and featuring over 300 iconic artists whose music changed the world.

Drawing from rare live performance and behind-the-scenes footage, never-before-seen moments, exclusive portrait sessions, album art, and posters, Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified will deliver one of the most comprehensive collections of rock ‘n’ roll imagery ever assembled.  Narrated by actor/musician Kevin Bacon, this visual, historical, and sonic tour spans genres and generations, offering powerful insights into rock’s influential past and living present.  Above all else, Amplified is a celebration full of music and exultation – a chance to step inside what Jimi Hendrix once called The Electric Church.

“We are proud to partner with Illuminarium and a top-tier creative team to present Amplified, a powerful story of rock ‘n’ roll – one that echoes our own legacy and the deep cultural impact this music has made,” said Gus Wenner, Chief Executive Officer of Rolling Stone. “Amplified is a uniquely immersive experience and transports you through the history of rock ‘n’ roll – past and present – through sight, sound, and motion.”

Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified was created by Brand New World Studios exclusively for Illuminarium, a sensory space of 360-degree sight, sound, and unprecedented scale, powered by the world’s most advanced 4K laser projection, 3D audio and interactive technologies.

“We can think of no better partner than Rolling Stone, the authoritative voice that has chronicled the history of rock, to embark on our newest, most unique experience,” said Alan Greenberg, CEO of Illuminarium.  “Our guests will be awestruck by the sound and images from floor to ceiling. This is much more than a show – it’s a time machine for music fans of all ages.”

The Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified experience begins the moment guests arrive, including interactive lobby elements, a real rock show merchandise experience and a full-service bar to enjoy before the journey begins. Guests will then be guided through eight transformative chapters devoted to rock's greatest artists, the message of their music, and the way it shaped not just sound, but the world around it - from the hair, the cars, the clothes to the fans and so much more.

“Rolling Stone Presents: Amplified is the ultimate immersive rock experience, a journey through rock ‘n’ roll and its impact on popular culture,” saysExecutive Producer Brad Siegel, Founder of Brand New World Studios. “It’s full of breathtaking images and music, but we knew it needed to be more than a wild ride; it needed to be a story that explored the impact of the soundtrack of our lives because stories bring people together, help us interpret our experiences and find meaning.”

The power of rock ‘n’ roll has always been captured in electrifying imagery. Over 500photographers and film directors like Mark Seliger, Danny Clinch, LynnGoldsmith, Anton Corbijn, Bob Gruen, Jim Marshall, Neil Preston, JanetteBeckman, and Pooneh Ghana took risks and pushed boundaries, just like the musicians they immortalized.

The experience unites executive producer Brad Siegel, whose transformative leadership at TNT, TCM and Cartoon Network shaped contemporary media, with three-decade Rolling Stone veteran Jodi Peckman, bringing her iconic visual perspective as Photography and Film Curator working alongside Director of Photography Meghan Benson and former Rolling Stone Executive Editor Joe Levy whose writing and music supervision delivered a transformative story and music experience.  The experience's revolutionary design and visual narrative comes from Pentagram principals AbbottMiller and Emily Oberman, with motion design by Good Company andOscar-winning Sound Designer Peter Lehman and Supervising Producer KevinWagner creating the sonic landscape.
