NASHVILLE, Tenn. — April 22, 2026 — Today, the Academy of Country Music® (ACM), Prime Video, and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) announced that legendary songwriter and best-selling female country artist Shania Twain will host the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards for the first time. The 61st ACM Awards will stream live exclusively for a global audience across 240+ countries and territories on Prime Video on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT from the world-renowned MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans will also be able to watch the broadcast on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, as well as in the Amazon Music app.
As the top-selling female country-pop artist of all time, globally celebrated songwriter, artist, and performer Shania Twain has established herself as one of music’s most iconic and influential voices. A three-time ACM Award winner and five-time GRAMMY Award winner, Twain helped redefine country music for a global audience with her bold, boundary-pushing sound and undeniable crossover appeal. New York, NY, April 20, 2026: Today, SHE Media announced the appointment of Lauren Iannotti as its new Chief Content and Live Events Officer. Iannotti will report to Kristen Fairback, Chief Commercial Officer of SHE Media, and will be based in New York.
In this role, Iannotti will lead the strategic direction, growth, and execution of SHE Media’s content and live events portfolio across its flagship brands, including SheKnows, Flow Space, StyleCaster, and Soaps. Los Angeles, CA - April 14, 2026 - Today, CBS and Dick Clark Productions (DCP), the world’s largest owner and producer of televised live event entertainment programming, announced the nominations for the 52nd American Music Awards (AMAs), which will kick off summer with host Queen Latifah live from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the largest venue in the show’s history, on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. As one of music’s most anticipated nights of the year, the 52nd American Music Awards returns to CBS and Paramount+* to honor the most influential artists and songs of today alongside unforgettable performances and special moments in a multi-genre, cross-generational celebration of music.
Fan voting is now open via VoteAMAs.com and the @AMAs Instagram profile in all award categories. Voting closes on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:59:59am PT, with the exception of Social Song of the Year and Tour of the Year, which will remain open through the first 30 minutes of the AMAs broadcast.
The 52nd American Music Awards nominees are based on key fan interactions, including streaming, album and song sales, radio airplay and tour grosses. These measurements are tracked by Billboard and Luminate, the entertainment industry's most trusted data partner, and cover the data tracking eligibility period of March 21, 2025 through March 26, 2026.

52nd American Music Awards Nominee Highlights:
- Taylor Swift, the winningest artist in AMAs history, could add to her record-shattering 40 wins, having been nominated in eight categories including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (“The Life of a Showgirl”), Song of the Year (“The Fate of Ophelia”), Best Music Video (“The Fate of Ophelia”), Song of the Summer (“Elizabeth Taylor”), Best Female Pop Artist, Best Pop Song (“The Fate of Ophelia”), and Best Pop Album (“The Life of a Showgirl”).
- Breakout stars Olivia Dean and SOMBR impressed as first-time nominees, earning seven nods each, and going up against each other in the New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Breakthrough Album of the Year categories.
- Other first time nominees include Alex Warren, BigXthaPlug, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, PinkPantheress, RAYE, Role Model, SIENNA SPIRO, Tate McRae, and more.
- Teyana Taylor’s knockout year continues, proving she can do it all. After receiving multiple wins, nominations and accolades for her acting chops, she is a first time American Music Award nominee this year for Best Female R&B Artist.
- Also crossing over from the big screen, The Singing Voices of HUNTR/X from KPop Demon Hunters: EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, were nominated in three categories - Song of the Year, Best Vocal Performance, and Best Pop Song - for their omnipresent hit “Golden” from the film KPop Demon Hunters. This would mark their first American Music Award(s) if they take any of the three categories.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — April 7, 2026 — Today, the Academy of Country Music® (ACM), Prime Video, and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) announced the next round of powerhouse performers set to take the stage at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, including Kacey Musgraves, Little Big Town, and Miranda Lambert with many more unforgettable performances to be revealed in the coming weeks. They join previously announced superstar performers Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and Riley Green. The 61st ACM Awards will stream live exclusively for a global audience across 240+ countries and territories on Prime Video on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT from the world-renowned MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans will also be able to watch the broadcast on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, as well as in the Amazon Music app.
Returning to the Sunday night timeslot, the Emmy-nominated, star-powered experience will feature unprecedented performances, exclusive collaborations, and unexpected moments from the biggest Country Music stars, all while celebrating the genre’s most iconic and emerging talent. Seven-time ACM Award recipient Kacey Musgraves will make her ACM Awards performance debut with a new song from her upcoming sixth studio album, Middle of Nowhere, out May 1. Eight-time ACM Award-winning group Little Big Town will take the stage for a special performance. Miranda Lambert, the most decorated artist in ACM Award history, is set to deliver a showstopping performance.

Los Angeles, CA - April 6, 2026 - Today, CBS and Dick Clark Productions (DCP), the world’s largest owner and producer of televised live event entertainment programming, announced that Grammy® award-winning musician, critically acclaimed Emmy and Golden Globe®-winning and Academy Award®-nominated actress and producer Queen Latifah will host the 52nd American Music Awards (AMAs). Queen Latifah has a longstanding history with the AMAs, previously serving as a co-host in 1995, and delivering memorable performances in the years since.
As one of music’s most anticipated nights of the year, the 52nd American Music Awards returns to CBS and Paramount+ on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 from the world-renowned MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the largest venue in the show’s history, to honor the most influential artists and songs of today alongside unforgettable performances and special moments in a multi-genre, cross-generational celebration of music.

Queen Latifah is a Grammy-winning artist and Oscar-nominated actress whose career spans music, film, television, and production. She earned an Academy Award nomination, along with Golden Globe and SAG nominations, for her role as “Mama Morton” in Chicago, and won both a Golden Globe and SAG Award for Life Support. A trailblazer in entertainment, she became the first hip-hop artist to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006 and has received seven Grammy nominations, winning Best Rap Solo Performance in 1994. Her cultural impact was further recognized with the National Medal of the Arts in 2024 and honors at the 2023 Kennedy Center Honors. Beyond acting, she has built a successful production career through Flavor Unit Entertainment, producing films and television projects including Bessie and The Perfect Holiday.
Making her big screen debut in Spike Lee’s 1991 film, Jungle Fever, Latifah then starred in Set It Off and co-starred with Holly Hunter and Danny DeVito in the critically acclaimed Living Out Loud. From 1993-1998, Latifah starred in the network comedy “Living Single.” Following Chicago, she starred in and executive-produced the box office hit Bringing Down the House. Her additional film credits include The Secret Life of Bees, alongside Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys and Dakota Fanning; Neil Meron and Craig Zadan’s Hairspray; Mad Money opposite Diane Keaton and Katie Holmes; Just Wright; Joyful Noise; The Last Holiday; Beauty Shop; Girls Trip alongside Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish; and Hustle opposite Adam Sandler. She took to the stage and small screen performing as the title character in the television musical The Wiz Live! and as “Ursula” in ABC’s live-action remake of The Little Mermaid.
In recent years, Latifah headlined and executive produced CBS’ “The Equalizer,” which became the #1 new series in the 2020-2021 season. Looking ahead, she is set to reprise her role as “Ellie” in Ice Age: Boiling Point, continuing her long-running involvement in the popular animated franchise.
Nominations for the 52nd American Music Awards will be announced on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Fan voting opens the same day, April 14, and will remain open until May 8, 2026.

Named one of 2025’s most-watched television specials, last year’s top-rated 51st American Music Awards reached over 10 million unique viewers across its CBS and Paramount+ premiere on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, and encores on MTV, CMT, and BET. The CBS broadcast marked the show’s largest audience since 2019 with a +38% increase over its last live airing in 2022 on ABC.
Airing for the first time on Memorial Day, the 2025 AMAs kicked off summer with host Jennifer Lopez, who returned to host a decade after her AMAs hosting debut in 2015. QUEEN LATIFAH
Queen Latifah is a Grammy award-winning musician, critically acclaimed television and Oscar-nominated film actress, producer, label president, author and entrepreneur. Latifah has had amazing success since her career began in Hollywood and became the first hip-hop artist to be crowned with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2006. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe nomination and a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award nomination for her portrayal of “Mama Morton” in the feature musical CHICAGO. She also received an Emmy Award nomination, a Golden Globe win, and a SAG Award win for her role in the cable film LIFE SUPPORT. She received a National Medal of the Arts from the United States Government in 2024 and was a 2023 honoree at The 46th Kennedy Center Honors.
Making her big screen debut in Spike Lee’s 1991 film, JUNGLE FEVER, Latifah then starred in SET IT OFF and co-starred with Holly Hunter and Danny DeVito in the critically acclaimed LIVING OUT LOUD. From 1993-1998, Latifah starred in the network comedy “Living Single.” Following CHICAGO, she starred in and executive-produced the box office hit BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE. Her additional film credits include THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES, alongside Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys and Dakota Fanning; Neil Meron and Craig Zadan’s HAIRSPRAY, MAD MONEY opposite Diane Keaton and Katie Holmes; JUST WRIGHT; JOYFUL NOISE; THE LAST HOLIDAY; and BEAUTY SHOP. In May 2015, Latifah made her way back to the small screen, earning an Emmy Award nomination, Golden Globe nomination and a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for her role in the cable film BESSIE, which she also produced.
In 2017, Latifah starred in the hit comedy GIRLS TRIP, alongside Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall and Tiffany Haddish. She also starred in the 2016 faith-based movie MIRACLES FROM HEAVEN, opposite Jennifer Garner, and reprised her role in ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE. Latifah also starred in the FOX hit series “Star,” which had its series finale May 2019. Additionally, she took to the stage and small screen performing as the title character in the television musical THE WIZ LIVE!, alongside Uzo Aduba, Mary J. Blige, Ne-Yo, Common and David Alan Grier.
Latifah has earned seven Grammy Award nominations, as well as a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance in 1994. In 2004, she was nominated for Best Female Rap Solo Performance for “Go Head.” In 2005, she was nominated for Best Jazz Vocal Album for “The Dana Owens Album,” and in 2008, she was nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for “Trav’lin Light.”
Flavor Unit Entertainment, the production company owned and operated by Latifah and her partner Shakim Compere, was behind the hit feature comedies BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE, BEAUTY SHOP, and THE PERFECT HOLIDAY. Flavor Unit also produced the films THE COOKOUT, JUST WRIGHT, and END OF THE ROAD, as well as cable films BESSIE, and LIFE SUPPORT. In November of 2019, Latifah was seen as Ursula in ABC’s live-action remake of THE LITTLE MERMAID. In April 2020, she starred in the Quibi drama, WHEN THE STREET LIGHTS GO ON, and executive produced Lifetime’s THE CLARK SISTERS: FIRST LADIES OF GOSPEL which became the highest-rated original movie for Lifetime since 2016. She also headlined the Netflix sports drama HUSTLE opposite Adam Sandler along with starring and producing Ray Giarratana’s THE TIGER RISING.
Latifah most recently starred in and executive produced the CBS series reboot of “The Equalizer,” which quickly became TV’s #1 scripted series when it premiered in 2021 and ran five seasons through 2025. South by Southwest® (SXSW®) today announced that Claudette Godfrey, VP, Film & TV, is stepping down from her role leading the SXSW Film & TV Festival after nearly 20 years with the organization. Peter Debruge, Chief Film Critic at Variety, has been named Director of the SXSW Film & TV Festival and will assume the role beginning April 6.
Godfrey has helped guide the SXSW Film & TV Festival & Conference through a period of sustained growth and evolution. During her tenure with the organization, she has championed boundary-pushing storytelling and supported emerging filmmakers such as Janicza Bravo, the Safdie brothers, and the Daniels, whose film Everything Everywhere All at Once world-premiered at SXSW and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. Through her work, Godfrey helped shape SXSW into a launchpad for some of the most exciting projects in film and television today.
“Claudette has been an integral part of SXSW for many years, and her leadership has helped shape what the Film & TV Festival is today,” said Greg Rosenbaum, SVP of Programming at SXSW. “She has built a program that is both globally relevant and deeply rooted in discovery, and we’re incredibly grateful for her contributions.”
Peter Debruge will assume leadership of the festival, bringing decades of experience covering and shaping the global film industry. He joins SXSW from Variety, where he spent 20 years and served as the third ever Chief Film Critic in the brand's more than 100-year history, writing more than 2,000 reviews and covering major international film festivals for the last decade. Debruge was knighted by France in the Order of Arts and Letters for his work. As a leading voice in film criticism and programming, Debruge brings a deep understanding of both global cinema and the evolving media landscape.
The role also marks a return to Texas for Debruge, who grew up in Waco and studied film at the University of Texas at Austin. Early in his career, he co-edited the entertainment section of The Daily Texan alongside former SXSW Film head Matt Dentler and contributed to The Austin Chronicle, where he covered SXSW in the late 1990s. He brings a longstanding connection to the event and the Austin creative community, along with experience serving on juries at festivals including Cannes, São Paulo, and Reykjavik, and as a co-founder of the Animation Is Film Festival.
“Peter brings a unique perspective and a deep passion for storytelling that aligns closely with SXSW’s mission,” said Jenny Connelly, Director in Charge at SXSW. “We’re excited for him to build on the strong foundation that Claudette established and lead the festival into its next chapter.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — March 19, 2026 — Today, the Academy of Country Music® (ACM), Prime Video, and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) announced the first round of powerhouse performers set to take the stage at the 61st Academy of Country Music Awards, including Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, and Riley Green, with many more unforgettable performances to be revealed in the coming weeks. The 61st ACM Awards will stream live exclusively for a global audience across 240+ countries and territories on Prime Video on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. PT from the world-renowned MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans will also be able to watch the broadcast on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch, as well as in the Amazon Music app.
Returning to the Sunday night timeslot, the Emmy-nominated, star-powered experience will feature unprecedented performances, exclusive collaborations, and unexpected moments from the biggest Country Music stars, all while celebrating the genre’s most iconic and emerging talent. ACM Award winner Cody Johnson will take the stage following his 2025 win for ACM Song of the Year. Reigning Entertainer of the Year and 16-time ACM Award recipient Lainey Wilson returns to the ACM Awards stage with the world premiere performance of “Can’t Sit Still.” Four-time ACM Award winner and 2026 ACM Lifting Lives Country on the Green headliner, Riley Green, will deliver a performance of his hit song “Change My Mind.”

SEGA BODEGA was born in Ireland, raised in Glasgow and now based in London, producer, performer and label head Sega Bodega - AKA Salvador Navarrete - has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most innovative and precocious creative minds. His impact spans music, fashion and film, soundtracking some of the most important cultural moments in recent years, as well as building a catalogue of solo releases that traverse genre, style and composition. SHAME is a south London based post punk band. They consist of vocalist Charlie Steen, guitarists Eddie Green and Sean Coyle-Smith, bassist Josh Finerty, and drummer Charlie Forbes. The intimate discussion focused on how artists from different musical backgrounds and generations approach mental health, introducing audiences to the themes and format of the series by examining how they have overcome hardships and the options available for bettering mental health.
“If you do have people in your life...whether they’re in the family or whether they’re friends or a professional, I think it’s so useful to be able to let these feelings out in a real healthy way,” said Rae.
When reflecting on the pressures of keeping up with her own success and asking for help, Lenae shared her own positive experience with therapy over the past year, noting, "I definitely enjoyed having the ritual and just talking through my day to day. I think that’s something really special to do, especially if you feel like you’re getting something really good back.”
The series aims to provide viewers with a full scope of the human experience through the lens of music. Following the live preview, the first episode featuring Corinne Bailey Rae and Ravyn Lenae will officially launch on Billboard’s digital platforms later this March.

HELEN MIRREN
HELEN MIRREN has won an Oscar®, Emmy, SAG Award, Tony, multiple BAFTA Awards and Golden Globes®, as international recognition for her work on stage, screen and television. For her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in 2006 of “The Queen,” she received an Academy Award®, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award, and BAFTA Award for Best Actress. She was also named Best Actress by virtually every critic’s organization from Los Angeles to London. In 2014 she was honored with the BAFTA Fellowship for her outstanding career in film. In 2018 she was honored with the Chaplin Gala career achievement recognition from The Film Society at Lincoln Center. In 2022 Mirren received the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award.
2025 saw Mirren in Chris Columbus’s film adaption of the number one bestselling novel “The Thursday Murder Club,” the second and final season of Taylor Sheridan’s 1923 series alongside Harrison Ford on Paramount+, and as the matriarch of a crime family in the first season of MobLand, also on Paramount+. Mirren’s next role is “Goodbye June,” in the titular role, which will be in theaters Dec. 12 and available to stream on Netflix on December 24. Next year she will be seen in the film “Switzerland,” in the role of renowned writer Patricia Highsmith.
In 2024 she appeared in Lionsgate's “White Bird.” In 2023 she starred in “Golda,” playing Golda Meir during the Yom Kippur War, was heard as the narrator of Warner Bros.’ history-making “Barbie,” directed by Greta Gerwig, and seen in the final film in Universal’s Fast & Furious franchise “Fast X,” and in the Shazam! sequel, “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.”
Mirren narrated WHEN NATURE CALLS with Helen Mirren on ABC and BBC. Other recent TV shows include Amazon’s sci-fi anthology miniseries Solos, the Netflix comedy special Sarah Cooper: Everything’s Fine and the four-part, limited series for HBO/SKY in the title role of Catherine the Great.

Mirren began her career in the role of Cleopatra at the National Youth Theatre. She then joined the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she starred in such productions as “Troilus and Cressida” and “Macbeth.” In 1972, she joined renowned director Peter Brook’s theatre company and toured the world.
Her film career began with Michael Powell’s “Age of Consent,” but her breakthrough film role came in 1980 in John Mackenzie’s “The Long Good Friday.” Over the next 10 years, she starred in a wide range of acclaimed films, including John Boorman’s “Excalibur,” Neil Jordan’s Irish thriller “Cal,” for which she won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival and an Evening Standard Film Award; Peter Weir’s “The Mosquito Coast,” Peter Greenaway’s “The Cook, the Thief, His Wife and Her Lover,” and Charles Sturridge’s “Where Angels Fear to Tread.”
Mirren earned her first Oscar® nomination for her portrayal of Queen Charlotte in Nicholas Hytner’s “The Madness of King George,” for which she also won Best Actress honors at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival. Her second Oscar® nomination came for her work in Robert Altman’s 2001 film “Gosford Park.” Her performance as the housekeeper also brought her Golden Globe and BAFTA Award nominations, several critics groups’ awards, and dual SAG Awards, one for Best Supporting Actress and a second as part of the winning ensemble cast. Mirren earned both Oscar® and Golden Globe nominations for her performance in “The Last Station,” playing Sofya Tolstoy.
Among her other film credits are Terry George’s “Some Mother’s Son,” on which she also served as associate producer, “Calendar Girls,” The Clearing,” “Shadowboxer,” “State of Play,” “The Tempest” and “Brighton Rock”.
On television, Mirren starred in the award-winning series “Prime Suspect” as Detective Chief Inspector Jane Tennison. She had earned an Emmy Award and three BAFTA TV Awards, as well as numerous award nominations, for her role in early installments of the “Prime Suspect” series. She won another Emmy Award and earned a Golden Globe nomination when she reprised the role of Detective Jane Tennison in 2006’s “Prime Suspect 7: The Final Act,” the last installment in the PBS series. Her long list of television credits also includes “Losing Chase,” “The Passion of Ayn Rand,” “Door to Door,” and “The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone,” earning Golden Globe, Emmy and SAG Award® nominations and awards. She starred with Al Pacino in the HBO biopic “Phil Spector,” for which she won a SAG Award for her performance and was nominated for an Emmy and a Golden Globe. Mirren was also honored for her performance as Queen Elizabeth I in the HBO miniseries “Elizabeth I,” winning an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe and a SAG Award®.
On stage, Mirren reprised her role as Queen Elizabeth II on Broadway in The Audience, a play by Peter Morgan, directed by Stephen Daldry, for which she won the 2015 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role. In 2013 she debuted her stage role of Elizabeth II in The Audience in London’s West End, for which she received the Olivier Award and Evening Standard Award, and 2014 WhatsOnStage Award, for Best Actress.
Previously Mirren had worked extensively in the theatre. She received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress for her performance in “Mourning Becomes Electra” at London’s National Theatre. In 2009, Mirren returned to the National Theatre to star in the title role in “Phèdre,” directed by Sir Nicholas Hytner.

Timed for the first evening of WWD’s Apparel and Retail CEO Summit at Cipriani South Street in New York City, the WWD Honors program celebrates retail leaders and design luminaries who have performed at the highest business level and made immeasurable contributions to the industry over the course of the past year.
The ceremony awarded Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti with the evening’s highest honor, the John B. Fairchild Honor accepted by Mr. Giammetti and presented by Anne Hathaway. The Honor recognizes Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti’s enduring influence and impact on the global fashion industry. Past winners of the John B. Today, CBS and Dick Clark Productions (DCP), the world’s largest owner and producer of televised live event entertainment programming, announced the premiere of “Golden Eve,” a new annual primetime special honoring recipients of the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award and Carol Burnett Award, airing nationally on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+.
The special will air as a marquee event during Golden Week, a new dynamic week-long experience across Paramount platforms as well as celebratory kick-off events ahead of the 83rd Annual Golden Globes®, the first major award show of the season, airing live Sunday, January 11, 2026 and hosted by acclaimed Golden Globe, GRAMMY® and Emmy®-nominated comedian and actress Nikki Glaser.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural Golden Gala honoring Cecil B. DeMille Award recipient Viola Davis and Carol Burnett Award recipient Ted Danson, the 2026 edition evolves into “Golden Eve,” offering viewers an unprecedented insider’s look at the honorees' legacy, personal stories, and unforgettable Golden Globes moments. First created in 1952 and honoring the eponymous director, the Cecil B. DeMille Award has been bestowed on 69 honorees drawn from Hollywood’s greatest and most iconic talents, including Walt Disney, Audrey Hepburn, Sidney Poitier, Judy Garland, Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Redford, Barbra Streisand, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Oprah Winfrey. The Carol Burnett Award, created in 2019 and initially awarded to its namesake, is presented to an honoree who has made outstanding contributions to television on or off screen. The recipient is selected based on their body of work and the lasting impact of their television career achievements on both the industry and audiences.
