Today, CBS and Dick Clark Productions (DCP) announced that Rod Stewart will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the “2025 American Music Awards” (AMAs) in recognition of his incomparable career, body of work, and unparalleled contributions to music for nearly six decades, honoring his lasting legacy and continued influence on generations of artists and fans. He will also deliver a performance of one of his timeless classics, marking his first time on the AMAs stage since 2004.
A two-time inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Stewart’s extraordinary catalog includes 19 platinum and multi-platinum certified albums in the US. Among his more than 50 hit songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and 16 Hot 100 top 10 chart-toppers are songs like, “Maggie May,” “Hot Legs,” “Infatuation,” “Do You Think I’m Sexy,” “Some Guys Have All the Luck,” “Tonight’s The Night,” and “Forever Young.” His dynamic live performances have made him one of the most successful touring artists in music history. This summer, he’ll launch the North American leg of his “One Last Time,” world tour, a box office smash which grossed among The Top 20 Global Concert Tours of 2024, and he’ll return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace May–June and September-October 2025 with “The Encore Shows.”
“Sir Rod Stewart is a master showman whose charisma and energy have defied time and embody the very spirit of rock and roll,” said executive producers Barry Adelman, EVP, Television, and Alexi Mazareas, SVP, Programming & Development, Dick Clark Productions. “We are looking forward to another epic performance on the AMAs stage as well as celebrating his incredible body of work when he receives the Lifetime Achievement Award.”
The star-studded celebration will kick off summer with host Jennifer Lopez from the all-new luxury resort Fontainebleau Las Vegas, on Monday, May 26. Promising to be a night of unforgettable performances, including from Lopez herself, the 51st AMAs will air live coast to coast at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on the CBS Television Network, and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.* Tickets to the star-studded show are available now on Ticketmaster.
Stewart joins previously announced performers Benson Boone, Blake Shelton, Gloria Estefan, Gwen Stefani, Lainey Wilson, and Reneé Rapp. Legendary entertainer Janet Jackson will receive the prestigious ICON Award, which recognizes an artist whose body of work has marked a global influence over the music industry. The global phenomenon and 11-time American Music Award-winner will also take the stage, marking her first television performance since 2018.
The AMAs and Easy Day Foundation, the Las Vegas-based nonprofit organization committed to helping Veterans transition to civilian life, will partner to present several special in-show moments that celebrate Veterans while raising funds for a variety of national and local organizations. Taking place during May’s Military Appreciation Month, the American Music Awards x Easy Day moments will include two performances and the presentation of a special award honoring a marquee talent who uses their platform to make meaningful contributions to the Veteran community, as well as inspirational stories from active-duty service members and veterans.
Fan voting is now closed with the exception of Collaboration of the Year and Social Song of the Year, which will remain open for web voting through the first 30 minutes of the AMAs broadcast via VoteAMAs.com. Kendrick Lamar leads this year’s nominees with ten nominations, followed closely by Post Malone, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, and Shaboozey.

Today, CBS and Dick Clark Productions announced the nominations for the “2025 American Music Awards” (AMAs), which will kick off summer with host Jennifer Lopez live from Las Vegas on Monday, May 26. Promising to be a night of unforgettable performances, including from Lopez herself, the 51st AMAs will air live coast to coast at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on the CBS Television Network, and stream on Paramount+ in the U.S.*
Fan voting is now open via VoteAMAs.com and the @AMAsInstagram profile in all award categories. Voting closes on Thursday, May 15 at 11:59:59pm PT, with the exception of Collaboration of the Year and Social Song of the Year, which will remain open through the first 30 minutes of the AMAs broadcast.
The “2025 American Music Awards” winners are voted entirely by fans. Nominees are based on key fan interactions - as reflected on the Billboard charts - including streaming, album and song sales, radio airplay and tour grosses. These measurements are tracked by Billboard and Luminate, the entertainment industry's most trusted data partner, and cover the data tracking eligibility period of March 22, 2024 through March 20, 2025.
“2025 American Music Awards” Nominee Highlights:
- Kendrick Lamar, who already has three American Music Awards to his name, leads this year’s nominations with a total of 10. He is nominated for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (“GNX”), Song of the Year (“Not Like Us”), Collaboration of the Year (“Luther” with SZA), Favorite Music Video (“Not Like Us”), Favorite Male Hip-Hop Artist, Favorite Hip-Hop Album (“GNX”), Favorite Hip-Hop Song (x3 - “Like That” with Future and Metro Boomin, “Not Like Us,” and “Luther” with SZA). He could tie Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston for the most awards in a single year should he win in all eight categories.
- Post Malone has previously taken home awards in the Rap/Hip Hop and Pop/Rock categories. He could add to that list with possible wins for Favorite Male Country Artist, Favorite Country Album (“F-1 Trillion”), and Favorite Country Song (“I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen) this year. He is also nominated for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (“F-1 Trillion”), Song of the Year (“I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen), and Collaboration of the Year (x2 - “I Had Some Help” with Morgan Wallen and “Fortnight” with Taylor Swift), for a total of eight.
- After taking home the New Artist of the Year trophy in 2019, Billie Eilish continues to dominate with nominations for Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (“HIT ME HARD AND SOFT”), Song of the Year (“Birds of a Feather”), Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Female Pop Artist, Favorite Pop Album (“HIT ME HARD AND SOFT”), and Favorite Pop Song (“Birds of a Feather”).
- First time nominee Chappell Roan tied Billie’s seven nominations, with a chance to take home trophies for Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (“The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess”), Song of the Year (“Good Luck, Babe!”), Social Song of the Year (“HOT TO GO!”), Favorite Female Pop Artist, and Favorite Pop Album (“The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess”). Roan is also the only artist to be nominated in all three of this year’s exciting new categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Social Song of the Year.
- Also entering the AMAs chat for the first time, Shaboozey received seven nominations, including New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“A Bar Song (Tipsy)”), Social Song of the Year (“A Bar Song (Tipsy)”), Favorite Music Video (“A Bar Song (Tipsy)”), Favorite Male Country Artist, Favorite Country Album (“Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going”), and Favorite Country Song (“A Bar Song (Tipsy)”).
- Other first time nominees include Benson Boone, Doechii, Gracie Abrams, Jelly Roll, Lola Young, The Marias, ROSÉ, Teddy Swims, Tommy Richman, Tyla, as well as Artist of the Year nominees Sabrina Carpenter and Zach Bryan.
- Taylor Swift, the winningest artist in AMAs history, could add to her record-shattering 40 wins this year, having been nominated in six categories including Artist of the Year, Album of the Year (“The Tortured Poets Department”), Collaboration of the Year (“Fortnight” featuring Post Malone), Favorite Touring Artist, Favorite Female Pop Artist, and Favorite Pop Album (“The Tortured Poets Department”).
- In addition to an Album of the Year nod for “COWBOY CARTER,” Beyoncé is in the running for Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album.
- Hozier’s standout year earned five nominations including Song of the Year (“Too Sweet”), Favorite Male Pop Artist, Favorite Rock Artist, Favorite Rock Album (“Unreal Unearth: Unending”), and Favorite Rock Song (“Too Sweet”). He would become a first time American Music Award winner should he take home the trophy in any of these categories.

Global superstar Jennifer Lopez is set to return to the American Music Awards (AMAs) as both host and performer for the highly anticipated 2025 show, kicking off a summer of the hottest music live from Las Vegas on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26 on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.* This marks Lopez’s second time hosting the iconic awards ceremony, a role she first took on in 2015 when she captivated audiences with her unmatched energy and breathtaking opening medley. The 51st AMAs promises to be a night of unforgettable performances, with Lopez at the helm, bringing her signature style and magnetic presence to the stage.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Lopez back to host the American Music Awards,” said Jay Penske, CEO, Dick Clark Productions. “Jennifer's incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show. We know she will bring her one-of-a-kind energy to the official kick off celebration of summer."
Lopez first teased her return to hosting on last fall’s top-rated “American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special” on CBS - named one of the most-watched entertainment specials of the year. No stranger to the AMAs stage, the multi-hyphenate mogul has delivered some of the most memorable performances in AMAs history, having performed on the show more than ten times. Lopez’s 2025 AMAs performance will be an exciting highlight of the evening, promising to showcase her unparalleled artistry and signature mix of music, dance, and visual spectacle.
With over 80 million records sold, 15 billion global streams, and more than 18 billion music video views, the three-time AMA winner’s impact on the music industry is undeniable, making her one of the most influential artists of all time. As the only female artist to have a number one album and number one film simultaneously as well as a worldwide box-office gross of over $3 billion, to her groundbreaking achievements as a producer, fashion icon, philanthropist, and entrepreneur, Lopez has solidified her place as one of the most trailblazing figures in entertainment today.
Celebrating the year’s most iconic music—the American Music Awards is the world’s largest fan-voted award show honoring today’s most influential artists and their passionate fanbases. Each Memorial Day, the AMAs pays special tribute to our U.S. troops and veterans through authentic performances and unforgettable moments. Created by legendary producer and visionary Dick Clark and first awarded in 1974, the AMAs is known for delivering half a century worth of iconic performances, enduring moments that have defined and shaped pop culture, as well as a history of introducing audiences to breakthrough artists. The 2025 AMAs will broadcast globally across linear and digital platforms. More details to be announced soon.

- First time ACM Award nominee, Ella Langley, leads with eight nominations including Female Artist of the Year, New Female Artist of the Year, and six nominations for her song with Riley Green, “you look like you love me,” which include Single of the Year, Song of the Year as an artist and songwriter, Music Event of the Year, and Visual Media of the Year as an artist and director.
- Cody Johnson ties for the most nominations for a male artist with seven nominations, including his second nomination for Entertainer of the Year, and his third year in a row being nominated for Song of the Year, with “Dirt Cheap” being nominated in the category, as well as Single of the Year and Visual Media of the Year. Johnson is competing with himself in Visual Media of the Year, as his collaboration with Carrie Underwood, “I’m Gonna Love You,” is also up for the award. Johnson’s seven nominations this year mark the most ACM Award nominations he has ever received in one year and make him the most-nominated Texas-born artist this year.
- Morgan Wallen ties for the most nominations for a male artist with seven nominations, including his third consecutive nomination for Entertainer of the Year. Wallen received four nominations for his collaboration with Post Malone on “I Had Some Help,” which includes three artist nominations and one songwriter nomination for Wallen.

Wilson’s nominations for Song of the Year mark her fourth consecutive year being nominated and her seventh total nomination (including artist and songwriter credits) in the category.
- Luke Combs is a nominee for Entertainer of the Year. A win for Combs in this category will also clinch the coveted Triple Crown Award, which consists of an Entertainer of the Year win, plus wins in an act’s respective New Artist (Male, Female, Duo or Group) and Artist (Male, Female, Duo or Group) categories. Los Angeles, CA – August 28, 2024 – Today, CBS and the Golden Globes® announced that acclaimed Emmy®-nominated comedian and actress Nikki Glaser is set to host the 82ND ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBES®, the first major award show of the season, airing Sunday, January 5, 2025 (8:00-11:00 PM, live ET/5:00-8:00 PM, live PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the special airs).*
“I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the Golden Globes. It’s one of my favorite nights of television and now I get a front row seat (actually, I think I have to host from the stage),” said Glaser. “The Golden Globes is not only a huge night for TV and film, but also for comedy. It’s one of the few times that show business not only allows, but encourages itself to be lovingly mocked (at least I hope so). (God I hope so). It’s an exciting, yet challenging gig because it’s live, unpredictable, and in front of Hollywood’s biggest stars (who also might be getting wasted while seated next to their recent exes).
Glaser continued, “Some of my favorite jokes of all time have come from past Golden Globes opening monologues when Tina, Amy, or Ricky have said exactly what we all didn’t know we desperately needed to hear. I just hope to continue in that time honored tradition (that might also get me canceled). This is truly a dream job. Plus, I no longer have to feel guilty for every TV show and movie I’ve binged over the past year. It was all worth it. (Below Deck: Sailing YachtSeason Four will be nominated, right?)."
"Nikki Glaser brings a fresh and unmatched candor to her comedy and to the Golden Globes," said Jay Penske, Chairman and CEO, of Dick Clark Productions and Penske Media. "Her unapologetic style made her an obvious and compelling choice as host for this year’s event. We're hopeful this could be the first of many Golden Globes that Nikki will surprise and delight our CBS audience, as well as our audiences around the globe."
“The Golden Globes has a rich history as a night for entertaining, provocative humor,” said George Cheeks, Office of the CEO, Paramount Global, President and Chief Executive Officer, CBS. “Nikki Glaser is a comedic force whose funny, bold and irreverent comedy will continue that legacy and further establish this special as a can’t miss event on CBS.”
"Nikki Glaser is a comedic powerhouse whose daring and unfiltered humor is the perfect match for the Golden Globes,” said Helen Hoehne, President, Golden Globes. “She is sure to bring a unique energy and spontaneity to the show that will keep the audience entertained all night."
Known for her razor-sharp wit and fearless humor, Nikki Glaser has established herself as one of the funniest voices in comedy today. In August of this year, the Los Angeles Times boldlydescribed the knock-out comic, “Nikki Glaser is suddenly the hottest name in comedy." Previously Glaser headlined her first critically-acclaimed HBO comedy special “Good Clean Filth” in 2022, and earned an EMMY nomination for this year’s “Nikki Glaser: Someday You'll Die,” which set the record for both the best premiere night for an HBO comedy special in more than two years and for the #1 largest streaming audience for a Comedy Special in HBO Max/Max history. In 2021, Glaser launched “The Nikki Glaser Podcast” for iHeartMedia and Will Ferrell’s Big Money Players Podcast Network (BMP). She currently hosts and executive produces “Lovers and Liars,” the spinoff of the hit HBO Max and CW reality dating series “FBoy Island,” which Glaser hosted and executive produced for three seasons. Glaser recently wrapped her global THE GOOD GIRL stand-up tour and is currently on her ALIVE AND UNWELL tour across the country through May 2025.
The Golden Globe Awards, often referred to as “Hollywood’s Party of the Year®,” is the largest awards show in the world to celebrate the best of both film and television. Multi-Emmy Award®-winning producing duo Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment (WCE) will return as executive producing showrunners for the 82nd Golden Globes. Dick Clark Productions will plan, host and produce the annual Golden Globes, which has been viewed in more than 185 countries and territories worldwide.
CBS’ broadcast of the 81ST ANNUAL GOLDEN GLOBES® on Sunday, January 7, 2024, averaged 10 million viewers (Nielsen Live+7-Day national ratings), up nearly +50% from last year, its largest audience since 2020, making it the 3rd largest televised award show in the world approaching the Grammys and Oscars. The telecast was also the third-largest live-streamed CBS special event on Paramount+ ever in terms of AMA and reach.
Entries for Motion Picture and Television submissions must be completed online HERE, and the deadline is Monday, November 4, 2024. The awards timetable, rules and categories can be found HERE. Nominations are set to be announced on Monday, December 9, 2024.

New York, NY, September 3, 2024 — Today, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), the definitive voice of the fashion industry, proudly launches BLACK IN FASHION: 100 Years of Style, Influence, and Culture, published in partnership with Union Square & Co. The landmark publication, available now, marks the first-ever WWD book derived from the Fairchild Archives.
Authored by Tonya Blazio-Licorish and Tara Donaldson, BLACK IN FASHION offers a stunning and comprehensive exploration of the pivotal roles played by Black designers, models, scene-makers, and stylists in shaping the fashion landscape, as captured by WWD since its inception in 1910. Celebrating more than a century of style, the book details the profound impact of iconic figures such as Stephen Burrows, Virgil Abloh, Naomi Sims, Josephine Baker, André Leon Talley, and many more.
The book features over 375 photographs (both black-and-white and color), illustrations, and original articles from WWD’s extensive archive, as well as in-depth profiles, exclusive interviews, and an insightful foreword by fashion designer Tracy Reese. From the Harlem Renaissance to the Civil Rights Movement, the Black Is Beautiful era, America’s triumph at the “Battle of Versailles” in 1973, and hip-hop’s fashiontakeover in the 1990s, BLACK IN FASHION is a remarkable trove of WWD’s extensive reportage over the decades, with a lens on the cultural movements influential to and from the Black community.
“From its beginnings as a daily fashion trade newspaper, WWD’s coverage set a precedent to inform its reader from an inclusionary lens, with contributions from all sectors of the international fashion industry,” said Tonya Blazio-Licorish, Author and Archives Editor for Penske Media (owner of Fairchild Media Group). “Black creatives, while not always at the forefront of its business coverage, contribute to the breadth of WWD’s reportage then and now.”
"This book comes at a pivotal time for both WWD and the broader fashion industry,” said Amanda Smith, President of Fairchild Media Group. BLACK IN FASHIONcelebrates the vibrant legacy and ongoing impact of Black talent in fashion. We are proud to contribute to the enduring narrative of diversity and innovation that defines our industry.”
“We are thrilled to partner with brands as storied as Fairchild and WWD,” said Amanda Englander, Editorial Director of Union Square & Co. “With BLACK IN FASHION, our shared goal has been to tell the stories and celebrate the legacies of the inimitable Black contributors who’ve impacted the industry, gathering them into a beautiful and category-defining retrospective that both book and fashion lovers can pore over and treasure for many years to come.”
