WWD Appoints Arthur Zackiewicz Executive Editor

June 14, 2016
New York, NY

Today, Penske Media’s WWD has named Arthur Zaczkiewicz Executive Editor of Strategic Content Development, effective immediately.

This is a new position at the company. Zaczkiewicz, formerly Deputy Editor of Data and Analysis at WWD, will lead efforts to identify, assess, develop and publish special reports, content projects, white papers and new content platforms for WWD to better serve the $1.2 trillion global fashion apparel market.

“The industry is experiencing an incredible evolutionary step, and WWD and Fairchild are responding to these changes by delivering more meaningful and analytical content,” said PMC CEO Jay Penske. “This new role will meet the market’s need for deeper data and actionable information.” In his new role, Zaczkiewicz will work closely with WWD’s editorial, events and sales and marketing teams to deliver content aimed at bolstering the market intelligence of the fashion apparel, retail, accessories, and luxury segments.

“Arthur has been an integral part of the evolution of WWD as we enter this new era,” said WWD Editor in Chief Edward Nardoza. “His experience in news gathering and analysis as well as developing proprietary reports for WWD has positioned WWD as a leader in business reporting of the industry.”

Zaczkiewicz will work with industry stakeholders to bring a new dimension to content delivery as the market experiences seismic changes due to factors such as advances in technology and shifting consumer preferences.

“Arthur’s expansive knowledge of the industry will translate incredibly well to helping us create new revenue streams and ancillary products for our brands,” said WWD SVP and Group Publisher Paul Jowdy.

Zaczkiewicz was named Deputy Editor in March of 2015. Since then, he has published a variety of content that includes data-driven reports, market analysis, breaking news, and industry insights. Prior to this role, Zaczkiewicz served as a Business Administrator with the County of Ulster, New York where he counseled business owners, produced events, and worked with public officials and businesses on a variety of projects. Previously, he served as a Community Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County. Zaczkiewicz is also a co-founder of the Kingston Land Trust.

Prior to his work in Ulster County, Zaczkiewicz served as Director of Content at Argyle Executive Forum where he produced content for C-level executives across a variety of industries. He also previously served as Senior Editor of WWD and Financial Editor of Fairchild Publications where he led a team of editors and reporters covering the retail and fashion apparel industries. Zaczkiewicz is a graduate of SUNY New Paltz with a degree in journalism and also earned a Master’s in Social Work at Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work.
