IndieWire Unveils Website Relaunch

Los Angeles, CA – Jay Penske, Chairman & CEO at Penske Media Corporation (PMC), today announced that IndieWire.com (which was acquired in January) will introduce a revamped website to coincide with the celebration of its 20th anniversary. IndieWire has long been the leading news, information, and networking site for independent content creators, industry and fans alike and as such this rebrand will be representative of all that IndieWire has accomplished in it’s 20 years of industry expertise. “The relaunch represents our new growth and direction under PMC, and coincides with our expanded TV reporting and analysis for the Emmy season. The new site also means we’re well prepared for summer movies as well as Oscar coverage this fall,” said Dana Harris, the Los Angeles-based Editor-in-Chief and General Manager of IndieWire.

Highlights of the brand’s redesign will feature a new signature logo as well as a prominent video section, improved photo galleries, enhanced content modules and a new dedicated Awards Season tab for Emmy coverage to provide visitors with an overall more user friendly experience. The site will debut a sleeker look that will be easier to navigate both on a desktop and on mobile to encourage user engagement. Additionally, every facet of the site — from film and TV reviews to breaking news stories will be readily available on the IndieWire homepage for easier consumption.
