Joe Shields oversees The Hollywood Reporter’s business operations with P&L responsibility for the brand. He is responsible for all business and revenue operations, including live media, social media, marketing, video operations, licensing, international, and sales.  

Shields spent the last decade revolutionizing the audio landscape with iHeartMedia, most recently serving as their Senior Vice President of Entertainment, where he developed cross-platform advertising solutions and partnerships with top brands and built the sales vertical within the organization. He began his career in entertainment, negotiating some of the earliest product placement deals with Mark Burnett and managing Brand Integration at Sony Pictures for films such as "Talladega Nights" and "Spider-Man."

Before coming to iHeartMedia, Shields was Vice President of Integrated Sales and Marketing at FX Networks, where he crafted innovative integrations with shows like "Sons of Anarchy," "Damages," and "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia" as well as producing branded content, including an award-winning mini-series for Audi.

He also serves as the Co-Vice President of ThinkLA, a non-profit advertising collective with a mission to connect, educate, and inspire the West Coast marketing community.
